Your contribution made a BIG impact! After an epic night of fun and fundraising for foster youth, we raised over $18,000 together at our November 13th event!
Funds raised were received by Yavapai CASA for Kids’ for their programs: ‘Christmas Holiday Toy Drive’ & ‘The Toy Chest’!
Yavapai CASA for Kids’
In 2003, Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation (YC4KF) was born. The first purpose of YC4KF was to provide grants to fund the unmet needs of children in foster care in Yavapai County. Since then, the Foundation has expanded to include many other types of services such as a family visitation center, training, and transportation expenses for CASAs. They provide emergency clothing cards, bi-annual clothing supplements, Christmas gifts, and support for activities for foster youth to name a few.
Christmas Holiday Toy Drive
Each year, Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation provides extra support to foster youth and their families during the holiday season. The foundation places boxes in local businesses around the county then community residents purchase an age-appropriate gift or gift certificates and return it to the box. The unwrapped gifts are collected and brought to a central location where CASAs, foster parents and DCS workers can select appropriate gifts for their foster children.
The Toy Chest
The Toy Chest is a space located inside of the Family Visitation Center where kinship family, foster parents, CASAs, and DCS case managers can select birthday presents and celebration gifts for the foster child in their life. There are gifts and toys available for youth ages 0-21 including bikes, stuffed animals, action figures, makeup, and more!
If you were unable to attend and still want to give, please make your check payable to ‘Yavapai CASA for Kids’ and please write ‘Christmas Toy/100 Men’ in the memo line.
